Book Launch – The Interpreter’s House Revisited

Interp House Revisit

Our latest publication is launched on 10th September. In 1905 Patrick Geddes’ Outlook Tower project was in financial difficulties, and a meeting of friends and supporters was convened. From that, a Committee was formed of more than 70 participants. Their names were subsequently published in a pamphlet record of the meeting, and this book investigates them further in series of short biographies – ranging from polar explorers and geographers through Celtic art and poetry to educationalists and campaigners for women’s rights – to provide a fascinating cross-section of the cultural background of Geddes’ times and followers.
